"Naked Dating": The New Frontier for Frustrated Singles?

"A Better One Is A Better Two" show asks the expert: Lisa Shield

You’ve seen her cameo appearances on the hit reality series, “Millionaire Matchmaker”, and caught snippets of her advice on ABC News.
Now you can hear in-depth what Los Angeles’ premiere dating coach has to say on a special episode of “A Better One Is A Better Two”, debuting Thursday (Feb. 9, 7-9 p.m.) on Love 860-AM.
Lisa Shield has developed an international following by stripping down dating to its basics. She teaches techniques that discard the barriers between singles and the true love they seek. Her consulting firm stresses that the search for a mate should be a fun process, instead of a practice people dread as they get older.
Your “A Better One Is A Better Two” show hosts – Myra and Kendall McKnight – will take their time probing Shield about the future and fallacies concerning dating. Listeners are encouraged to join the conversation by dialing into the show at 404-355-8699 or 1-866-923-2860 (toll free).
C’mon, all you singles…bare your souls with us!

What's Your Favorite Love Song?

The controversial R&B artist, R. Kelly, is trying to get back into the public's good graces by releasing a new single called, "Share My Love".
Discuss.
Or don't.
Rather than ponder his (pitiful?) attempt at a comeback, wouldn't it be more fun and and fruitful to rank and replay the best love songs of all time?
Which songs or artists get your juices flowing?
When it's time for romance and self-expression, where do you turn for musical "assistance"?
We humbly suggest this Luther Vandross classic; in case you didn't know.

Let's Bring Responsible Sex Back

We can’t just relegate AIDS awareness to a day, can we?
Let’s salute all of the sports and entertainment stars who stepped up Tuesday to encourage their fans to get tested and engage in sex responsibly.
National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is a worth cause.
But let’s also encourage everyone to be aware of the risks every day of the year.
We need to openly discuss with our partners our sexual histories and practices.
It goes without mentioning by now that Blacks are afflicted disproportionately by HIV/AIDS. And Black women are being infected at alarmingly high rates.
So what are we going to do about it?
The health of our relationships going forward depends on a responsible look at the crisis.
Call the A Better One Is A Better Two show to point out ways you plan to stem the tide of unnecessary suffering.
We welcome your input.

As if Valentine’s Day gift-giving isn’t stressfull enough, imagine the strife some people feel when they’re involved in long-distance relationships?
Is a special delivery bouquet enough to assure a woman – and all the girls in her office - that you’re devoted? Is the sappy greeting card you mailed to that guy a sure sign that you’re still interested?
The Huffington Post offers up an interesting list of tokens of affection long-distant lovers can send by mail in time for Cupid’s arrow to strike on time and on target.
But as the February 14 deadline approaches, the question rises: Is it really worth the effort?
If you think this is a good show topic, let us know!
